COOLING WATER TREATMENT CHEMICALS
Typically the presence of calcium in makeup water leads to deposition of calcium carbonate and/or calcium sulphate. The magnesium along with silica can lead to deposition of silicates. The silica can also polymerise and lead to hard deposits. The presence of suspended solids leads to deposits called fouling. The microbiological organisms such as algae and bacteria tend to grow in the environment provided by the cooling system and its presence can lead to bio-fouling and Microbiologically Induced Corrosion (MIC).
The closed cooling systems based on Treated water, Calcium chloride brine or Glycol based has very high potential of corrosion.
The mild scale formation, corrosion, fouling and bio-fouling in once through systems.
ION EXCHANGE offers wide range of solutions for variety of cooling water problems.
